TOKYO, February 24, 2016 - Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) announced today the launch of a 3.5-inch color TFT-LCD module in quarter high definition (QHD/960×540) format, which provides half the resolution of full high definition (full HD/1,920×1,080) screens both horizontally and vertically. The QHD format allows smoother, undistorted conversion from full HD, making it well suited for a variety of applications in digital broadcasting. Sample sales will begin immediately through Mitsubishi Electric offices worldwide.
