Cyber security in the world of operational technology (OT)

A comprehensive “defense-indepth”approach to Cyber Security is required for the OT environment. This encompasses hardening and defending the operational technology on several levels - the Human, Physical, Device, and Network layers and which also includes consideration of the supply chain, the operational and maintenance phases of a product/solution, as well as the final decommissioning and disposal.

Mitsubishi Electric places a strong focus on cyber security and is actively involved in various cyber security initiatives. Mitsubishi Electric FA has also received certification for the Electro-technical Commission’s IEC 62443-4-1 standard regarding the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) of industrial automation and control systems.
